Some songs just won't let go of you and this can all come down to just one line. I've said it before and it will often prove true that some songs make or break over a single line. Composed by Marvin Coe, Merle Haggard and Randy Travis, 'Good intentions' is another example of this kind of song.

I remember when I first heard it on the air waves I wasn't all that impressed with the lyrics until Randy Travis sang the line, "I hear tell the road to hell was paved with good intentions". Sure it's not very original but few hook lines ever are. What counts is that it gets right down to the heart of the matter. It is because of this line that I find myself breaking into this song alot when I pick up a guitar, even if I try not too. That line is just too hard to resist. Take a listen to my cover of 'Good Intentions' and tell me if I'm not right on this.
