You've Got To Stand For Something: written by William Calhoun Jr. Brock, Aaron Tippin

recorded by: Aaron Tippin

Aaron Tippin has that realy heavy southern accent that often used to tipify country music. Not something I have always liked but some artists can pull it off well like Hank Williams &... yes, Aaron Tippin. Durring the 1990's Aaron put out some realy great tunes like 'Mirror Mirror' and 'How Far To Over You'.

'You've Got To Stand For Something' takes me back to my youth on the farm and my dad & me. We didn't often see eye to eye. He was a hard man to like. But his moral fibre was beyond question though you wouldn't hardly ever have seen him at a church sevice. He believed in right & wrong and that a man should always stand on the right side of that devide. It almost seems, to me, as if Aaron Tippin wrote this song about him. I invite you to listen to this cover of 'You've Got To Stand For Something'.
