When Two Worlds Collide: written by Bill Anderson and Roger Miller

recorded by Jim Reeves

'When Two Worlds Collide' is not in the style of music I usualy gravitate towards but I have to say that there is something hauntingly sweet about this tune and I don't get to hear it enough. Take the time, if you would, and listen to my cover of this old Jim Reeves number and perhaps you'll get the sence of what I'm talking about.

The Steeldrivers' 'That Good Corn Liquor' seems to fit this definition perfectly. Take a...

Some years back I joined a jam group that themed itself around bluegrass music. As I was just a good old country boy and not particularly versed in bluegrass I set about to learn a new repitoir. I found that while bluegrass was often quite monotonous Bluegrass gospel was quite another story.

Now I don't mean to offend but I must admit that I...

I believe that women, in the country music recording business, have made progress by leaps and bounds to the point were they often eclips the talent of the male singers. I remember not being very impressed with the formula singing styles of the female music artists of the 1950's and 60's but now I can't sing the praises of these female vocalists enough. Lorrie...

First I must admit that I am not sure how original this tune is as often an unnamed song can rest in the back of one's memory and surface in the form of what you think is a new tune. That being the case, I can honestly say that as far as I know this is a basicaly original creation.

'The Sunset Waltz' is a tune I have been tinkering with now for some time, but it realy took shape as my brother's...
