One genre of music that I have never claimed to be able to sing well would be rock'n roll in any of its formats. I grew up with country and there for, by extension, bluegrass, gospel and folk music. My brothers and sisters were into rock but I guess I always was one to buck the trend.
That having been said, I would never declair that rock doesn't have its share of great...
